Liturgy
As we enter into our first full week of Lent the faithful are encourage to find ways to live their Lent fully by fasting, giving alms, and deepening their prayer. To help people do this parishes across the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth are hosting Lenten Missions and other Lenten initiatives. Consider checking out what’s happening at your parishes or those nearby. More information is below.
PLEASE NOTE: for more information on any of the events, please contact the hosting parish directly. Thank you!
The Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB) recently released the first video in their annual Journey Through Lent video series.
In response to Pope Leo XIV’s proclamation of a special jubilee year marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi parish will be offering a 40 Hours Devotion of Eucharistic Adoration. Through this devotion, we hope to become recipients of the special graces being offered to the Church throughout this year.
