The Communications Office of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth supports the vision and mission the Archbishop to spread the Good News
in the central and southwestern regions of Nova Scotia. This is done through a variety of media that includes print, electronic publications and website

Chalice Seeking Board Members

Chalice, a Catholic charity, based in Halifax and located in Bedford is looking for new board members. Chalice mobilizes support across Canada to sponsor over 47,000 children in thirteen countries.

Annually, board members commit to 8 meetings, 4 board meetings and 4 committee meetings, reading beforehand the associated documents of each meeting.  If a member has time, s{he) may join a sub-committee: the audit, investment, capital projects and human development.  For more information please contact Dianne Bulger at This email address is being protected from spambots. Do you know about Our Daily Bread Outreach? This ministry has been serving people living on the streets in downtown Halifax for over 15 years.  Run out of the hall at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica this ministry relies on volunteers from all over the Archdiocese. Daily Bread is currently open from Tuesday through Friday between 1:00 and 2:30pm.
