St. Francis and St. Clare of Assisi Parish invites you to join them as they celebrate the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi and the 20th Anniversary of the Franciscans of Halifax as community.
The community invites everyone to the following events:
Friday, October 3rd: Transitus of St. Francis (Evening Prayer) - 7:00 pm in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax - Evening Prayer will be chanted by candlelight to commemorate the transition of St. Francis from earthly to heavenly life.
Saturday, October 4th: Feast of St. Francis of Assisi - 10:00 am Mass in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax. Following Mass, everyone is invited to the Church Hall for a time of fellowship.
Blessing of the Animals:
- Saturday, October 4th at 12:15 pm at St. Catherine’s, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax (front lawn)
- Sunday, October 5th following the 9:30 am Mass at St. Stephen’s Park (across the street from the church, 6032 Normandy Drive, Halifax)
Through St. Francis' intercession, “May the Lord give you peace!” (Pace e Bene) - his usual blessing to all he encountered.
