Dying with Christ, Living with Hope

Despite its innocent sounding name, MAiD can destroy your soul. Participating in euthanasia can be a mortal sin, provided it is undertaken with full knowledge and complete consent.
Since Canadian law requires that the person requesting MAiD be fully aware, competent, and consenting to the procedure, the chances of it being a mortal sin are increased. A mortal sin affects your relationship with God for all eternity. Please don’t take that risk. If you are feeling lonely, isolated, uncared for, or feeling like you are a burden, contact the Church. We will support you.
