In 2021 Pope Francis invited the church to intentionally live synodal journey, that is, “walking together” with one another on the journey of faith. Our Assembly coincides with the first gathering (October 2023)in Rome of this multi-year synodal process. Each of us is called to a personal relationship with Jesus. We are also called to build that relationship by accompanying one another to know, love, and be transformed by God, through Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
This call to accompaniment is the major theme of our 2023 Assembly of the People of God.
Through times of prayer, keynote talks, small group and plenary sessions Assembly attendees will gain a better understanding of accompaniment and consider how they can accompany those they meet at the parish – and beyond! You’re invited to join us in Halifax at the McNally Theatre at Saint Mary’s University or take part in the Assembly at our of our hosting sites in Kentville, Truro, or Yarmouth!
When: November 4, 2023
Time: 8:30am to 4:00pm – The Assembly will conclude with Mass.
Where: McNally Theatre, Saint Mary’s University or one of the hosting sites.
Cost: $25 (includes lunch)
