Holy Week at Our Cathedrals

As we prepare for Holy Week across the Archdiocese we offer the Holy Week and Easter schedule of liturgies for Saint Mary’s Cathedral in Halifax as well as Saint Ambrose Co-Cathedral in Yarmouth.

April 14 - Monday

  • 7:30am Daily Mass
  • 12:15pm Daily Mass

April 15 - Tuesday

  • 12:00 – Chrism Mass
  • 6:30pm – 8:00pm Adoration beginning with Rosary
  • 7:00pm – 8:00pm Confessions

April 16 - Wednesday

  • 7:30am Daily Mass
  • 12:15pm Daily Mass

April 17 - Holy Thursday

  • Mass of the Lord’s Supper 7:00 pm

April 18 Good Friday

  • Good Friday Service at 3:00 pm*

April 19 - Holy Saturday

  • Confessions 10:00 am
  • Easter Vigil 8:00 pm

April 20 - Easter Sunday

  • 8:00 am
  • 10:30 am*

*PLEASE NOTE:  Our friends at Eastlink TV one again will broadcast live the 3:00pm Good Friday Service and the 10:30am Easter Sunday Mass from Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica. Eastlink subscribers can tune into channel 10 or 610.

April 19 - Holy Saturday

  • Easter Vigil   8:00pm

April 20 - Easter Sunday

  •  9:00am
  • 11:15am
