First Thursdays: Pray for our Eucharistic Congress

The faithful of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth are invited to pray in a particular for the upcoming  Eucharistic Congress from October 17 to 20, 2024.  Archbishop Dunn has invited parishes to make a special observance of the First Thursdays of every month leading up to our Congress. On this day parishes are encouraged to focus on a time to pray and preach on the gift of the Eucharist. 

The Congress will be an important time in the life of our diocese where all the faithful are invited to gather to pray, learn, and reflect on the gift of the Eucharist.  As we prepare for this exciting event, we invite everyone in the diocese to prayer for the success of the Congress; that the Holy Spirit will guide all our planning and stir the hearts of many of the faithful to come to the Congress.
