Christmas Masses at our Cathedrals

Christmas is fast approaching. During this time of year visitors and locals like to celebrate these special seasonal liturgies at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica or Saint Ambrose Co-Cathedral.  Below is a schedule of the Masses:

Christmas Eve, Tuesday, December 24, 2024

  • 6:00 PM – Solemnity of The Nativity of the Lord
  • 8:30 PM* -  Solemnity of The Nativity of the Lord
  • 12:00 AM - Midnight Mass – Solemnity of The Nativity of the Lord

*PLEASE NOTE: the 8:30 Mass will be broadcast live on Eastlink TV. Channel 10 or 610.  Thank you to our friends at Eastlink!

Christmas Day, Wednesday December 25, 2024

  • 10:30 AM – Solemnity of The Nativity of the Lord

December 26-28. 2024: 12.15 Daily Masses

Sunday, December 29, 2024

  • 8:00  AM – Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph
  • 10:30 AM** – Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph
  • 5:00 PM  - Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph

**PLEASE NOTE: The 10:30 Mass will also signify the official opening of the Ordinary Jubilee Year 2025 in the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth.
