Our local chapter of Development and Peace Caritas Canada invites people to consider taking part in this year’s People’s Parade for Life on Earth. This is a grassroots community parade organized by the Ecology Action Centre and other local community groups is a joyful celebration to come together in respect and love for Mother Earth, the Water and All our Relations. The date is Saturday, April 20, with the parade at 2 p.m. on the Kjipuktuk waterfront and after-party 3 p.m.-5 p.m. at Peace & Friendship Park.
We are facing many crises in our time on planet Earth. There is a lot we need to fight for to give future generations a chance at a good life. But we know our fight is rooted in love and community. As activists, we need joy and celebration to sustain us in this fight! The
People's Parade is a chance to come together and generate that love that nourishes and strengthens us all for the road ahead.
