The Communications Office of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth supports the vision and mission the Archbishop to spread the Good News
in the central and southwestern regions of Nova Scotia. This is done through a variety of media that includes print, electronic publications and website

Please join us at a Marriage Enrichment Weekend on May 1-3, 2026. This weekend is at Between the Hearts Renewal Centre, Amherst, NS. 
Couples, priests and religious from across Atlantic Canada are warmly invited to participate. The weekend provides a prayerful and supportive environment where participants focus on their relationship, strengthen communication, and grow together in faith.

Nova Scotians United for Life (NSUL) is hiring a new part-time Executive Director (ED), They are also looking for a new Treasurer. The ED role is a 15 hour/week commitment and is a paid position. The Treasurer role is a volunteer opportunity consisting of a few hours/month. The current ED and Treasurer will remain on the NSUL Board and will be available to support the new position transfers. No one should be alone at Christmas.  Join us on Thursday, December 25 for a sit-down Traditional Turkey Dinner and international cuisines at Good Shepherd Parish - St. Agnes Auditorium.  Doors open at 12:30 pm. Catholic Diocesan Centre: Christmas Hours

The downtown office of the Archdiocese will close at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, December 24 and will re-open for regular hours on Friday, January 2, 2026.

On Tuesday, November 25, the Diocese of Antigonish will host a free public lecture titled, Intriguing Implications of AI with guest speaker Fr. Philip Larrey. The lecture is from 12:00 – 1:30pm  at St. Ninian Place in Antigonish.
