The Communications Office of the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth supports the vision and mission the Archbishop to spread the Good News
in the central and southwestern regions of Nova Scotia. This is done through a variety of media that includes print, electronic publications and website

Local chapters of Campaign for Life Coalition annually hosts Life Chain, a peaceful and prayerful pro-life witness, in cities across Canada.  The 2024 Life Chain will be held on Sunday, October 6, 2024, in over 300 communities. In Halifax, people with gather on Robie St at Halifax Commons from 2:00 to 3:00pm.

Sunday, September 29 marks the 110th World Day of Migrants and Refugees. Each year the Church offers brings attention to this day with a theme and papal message. The Church has been celebrating this day since 1914 on the last Sunday in September.  It’s always an occasion to express concern for different vulnerable people on the move; to pray for them as they face many challenges; and to increase awareness about the opportunities that migration offers.
