Do you have winter coat in good shape that is no longer being used? Consider this invitation from Lindsay Misiner, our Shelters Coordinator:
The other day I took a client to pick out a winter coat. The only option on the rack in his size was a thin leather jacket. He gratefully took it—but we all know that won’t stand a chance against a true Nova Scotian winter. It got me thinking… we can help with that!
From NOW until Friday, December 12 I’m collecting: winter coats! All sizes are welcome, but mens’ L & XL are in high demand. Please ensure items are clean and are not significantly damaged with holes and rips.
Everything will go straight to the Soul’s Harbour clothing bank that lets people in need pick out what they need for FREE—every single day. Shortages aren’t their fault… but we can help fill the racks. No one in our community should face winter without a proper coat. If you have a coat please bring them to Archdiocesan Office at suite 101, 1559 Brunswick St., Halifax, NS, B3J 2G1.
Let’s warm some hearts—and some bodies—this winter. Thank you!
Thank you!
