As spring arrives in Nova Scotia so does the deadline for our diocesan Emergency Shelters Project. Initially, the project was to end on May 31, 2022. However, the housing crisis in our province has only continued to increase rather than decrease. As a result, after further discussions with local municipalities we will extend the stay of our current guests. We are also looking at ways that we can provide further assistance.
One means of support is the hiring of an Project Coordinator for the Emergency Shelters . As the project has evolved it is clear that the project needs a dedicated staff person to give this initiative the attention it deserves. You can find a detailed job description at www.halifayxarmouth.org . Click on Employment Opportunities under the Admin Services tab.
