CCCB Family Catechetics

The Canadian Conference of Catholic of Bishops recently announced a new four-part video series titled Called to Witness and Proclaim. This was developed to accompany their October 2024 Pastoral Letter on Family Catechesis

The series aims to help families, catechists, and pastoral leaders deepen their understanding of the family as the “domestic church.” Each video offers accessible and engaging content suitable for formation in parish settings, pastoral reflection on family ministry, parent formation sessions, or personal reflection.

On a local note, this video series features our own Archbishop Dunn. To view the videos click here or visit the CCCB YouTube channel.

Priority- Catechesis

Catechesis family Bible together PD 356x200

In addition to a program of evangelization, each Parish must have a process of ongoing formation in faith for children and adults. Growth in our closeness to the Lord and friendship with Him comes not only from study but also from encounter. All of our methods should be holistic in their approach to formation: human, spiritual, intellectual, and pastoral. On this page throughout the year, we will post material and resources to help all of us work towards strengthening these priorities in our parish communities.
