JD Vance, Catholicism, and the New Right.  
In 2019, JD Vance joined a growing list of prominent figures who are embracing the Catholic faith. The brand of Catholicism that Vance was drawn to seems to be one driver of the record numbers of conversions (particularly of young men) that many dioceses are reporting. But what is this form of Catholicism? Who are its key architects? What are its problems? And how does it shape the thought of JD Vance and the political movement that he represents?
