What is the Eucharistic Congress?

No? No worries! Here are the basic details you need to know:

The Eucharistic Congress is a diocesan event gathering people from across the Archdiocese of Halifax-Yarmouth to reflect on and deepen our understanding of the Eucharist; the Eucharist being Christ’s giving of himself to the faithful in his Body and Blood to reconcile us with God the Father.   It’s not a simple topic but it is the source and summit of our faith.  Join us at the Eucharistic Congress to learn more!

When: October 17-20, 2024 (**Please note: October 17 is a Youth Night aimed at young people ages 16-30)

Theme: Communion to heal the world!

Where: Saint Agnes Church, Mumford Rd., Halifax 
             Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, Spring Garden Rd., Halifax

What: A gathering of  Catholics to reaffirm and re-emphasize the source and summit of our faith, putting Jesus where he belongs—at the center. This will be done through times of prayers, keynote talks, and times of reflection.

Who: All the faithful are invited! Lay people, religious communities, and clergy.
