Volunteers Needed For Our Daily Bread Outreach

Do you know about Our Daily Bread Outreach? This ministry has been serving people living on the streets in downtown Halifax for over 15 years.  Run out of the hall at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica this ministry relies on volunteers from all over the Archdiocese. Daily Bread is currently open from Tuesday through Friday between 1:00 and 2:30pm.

Each day volunteers welcome 125 to 150 guests and offer them a prepared meal.  To help continue this important ministry, Daily Bread is seeking volunteers. Would this be a ministry you might consider being part of? This is a tangible way to serve Christ in our sisters and brothers. Volunteer are needed during all the afternoon shifts however, there is currently a particular need for volunteers on Friday afternoons. Parking is available for volunteers.
