as we care for the sick and comfort the dying.
Death of St. Joseph
Stain Glass Window, St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, Halifax, NS
This program is a three-part series that presents a hope-filled perspective on a universal experience using video presentations, a workbook, and small group discussions. The video presentations, featuring theologians and healthcare professionals, give timeless perspectives on suffering, grief, dying, our duty to care, and how dying with Christ is attainable for everyone.
The series is best presented in person as a large group with small group tables, but can also be fruitfully offered online using a service like Zoom. The program has already been successfully held in person and online. Presentations of the series have received excellent reviews. Watch a trailer of the series at: bit.ly/DWCLWHTrailer
The Christian Medical and Dental Association of Canada, which produced this series, is offering it for free to all churches in Canada. Donations are appreciated (there is a suggested donation of $10 per participant). Deacon Larry Worthen (Christ the King Parish) is their Executive Director. The CMDA Canada team is happy to provide support and training on how to host this series in your parish. Deacon Larry is also open to preaching on the topic of euthanasia at your parish.
