Are you looking for a volunteer experience that means more? Jesuit Volunteers Canada is a ministry of the Society of Jesus, and offers young people the opportunity to live and/or work with Jesuits promoting justice and peace. The challenge to Jesuit Volunteers is to integrate their Christian faith with community life and apostolic service, drawing on the spiritual tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola, founder of the Jesuits.

Repair and Restoration of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica Windows

Repair and Restoration of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica Windows

In July, the large stained glass windows above the main doors of Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica were removed for repairs and restoration. Last week, the newly restored wooden window frames were returned to their rightful place above the front door. Over the coming weeks the restored stained glass portions will be put in place. This was a major project for the Cathedral; this important work ensures that the windows remain safe and secure for years to come. The next time you’re walking down Spring Garden past the Cathedral look up and check out the windows!
