Pope Francis in Canada!

As we prepare to welcome Pope Francis to Canada, we invite Catholics from across the country to participate in this historic journey in a number of different ways. In addition to television coverage of papal events, visit www.papalvisit.ca or www.visitepapale.ca to access more than 10 livestream links of coverage featuring interpretation in many languages (including Indigenous languages), as well as livestream links from Vatican TV including commentary.

You can also donate to the CCCB to support the Papal Visit.

Salt & Light Catholic Media Foundation has a dedicated site for information and broadcast details for the papal visit -  https://slmedia.org/popeincanada (English) or https://slmedia.org/fr/papeaucanada (French).

Novalis has also produced a digital resource that includes texts for all the liturgies presided by Pope Francis, prayers as well as reflections on the significance of the Papal Visit. To download the resource, visit: livingwithchrist.ca (English) or prionseneglise.ca (French).

Particular events will be broadcast by livestream to the Papal Visit YouTube channel and people can follow the journey on Twitter and Facebook.

Tickets for Papal Events – The final block of tickets for Mass at Commonwealth Stadium (July 26) will be made available through papalvisit.ca and visitepapale.ca on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. (MT). Diocesan groups traveling with survivors may continue to register for events based on information previously provided. In Quebec, there is also an opportunity to view papal events on the Plains of Abraham. For more information please refer to papalvisit.ca or visitepapale.ca.

Archbishop Dunn is in Quebec City to be present as Pope Francis takes this important step of being with and present to the Indigenous communities. He also wants to gather with his fellow Canadian bishops to pray for God’s guidance on the path towards healing, reconciliation, and hope that we, indigenous and non-indigenous people of faith, are walking together.

Let us continue to pray for the health and well-being of Pope Francis as he continues to provide pastoral guidance and encouragement to all the faithful.  May the Holy Spirit pour out the graces and gifts needed for all as we walk together on a path toward healing, reconciliation, and hope.
