Mi'kmaq Community

At the request of members of our Mi’kmaq communities, Archbishop Dunn will offer the 12:15 Mass on Saturday, July 15 at Saint Mary’s Cathedral Basilica for all involved in the North American Indigenous Games (NAIG).  All are welcome!

Halifax will host the 10th NAIG from July 15-23.   There will be competitions in 16 sports within 21 venues across Kjipuktuk (Halifax), Dartmouth, Millbrook First Nation and Sipekne'katik. NAIG 2023 will bring together more than 5,000 athletes, coaches and team staff from 756+ Indigenous Nations celebrating, sharing and reconnecting through sport and culture with the help of 3,000 volunteers.  For more information visit: https://naig2023.com/
